A little comp to accompany this foody time of year's festivities! Mainly made from vinyl and cassette rips. Some Soul-Funk hits such as the amazing "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" by the Dramatics (this song opens the fantastic "Wattstax" film); a few instrumentals including 2 mad Cumbias by Ecuadorian composer Polibio Mayorga (thanks Yu Sato!) and John Barry's single "A Man Alone" from another great film, "The Ipcress File"; a few gems of Turkish Pop, some 60's girls, a bit of Forro... Bob's your uncle!

A new selection from vinyls and friends' recommendations.
In this comp you'll find a couple of tracks taken from the cult Elektro Dschungel album "Kebab Träume", recorded in Germany in the late 80's as a youth project. Also featured, bits from Goraguer's majestic soundtrack to "J'irai cracher sur vos tombes" adapted from Boris Vian's famous novel. "Diamonds" by 6-string bassist Jet Harris is probably the first - and coolest - bass-&-drums-led track in the history of Pop music! Mauritian singer Jean-Claude Gaspard sings about dreaming of riding different horses in"Sega Souval", a unique piece in the Sega genre... enjoy.

Here's a rip of a very nice record lent by Roady. I'm not familiar with this kind of Congolese music, which seems to be from before the rumba and soukous times. I like it very much.
